POST CONFERENCE TOUR (Optional)

2 Nights / 3 Days trip to Pokhara :

Day 01 : After breakfast in the hotel, drive to Kurintar. There is a Cable car station to climb up to a very venerable temple of Manakamana Mai. Visit the temple, pay homage to the Mai and return to your car or bus to continue your trip to Pokhara.  Checkin at Shangrila Village Resort and accommodation.

Day 02 : After breakfast sight seeing tour of Pokhara. Visit David falls, Bindabasini, Goptesour Cave, Tibetan Rufugee Camp, Peace Stupa and Fewa Lake Boating.
Day 03 :  Drive early morning to Sarangkot to view Sunrise over the Himalayan peaks like Annapurnas, Dhaulagiri and the famous Machhpuchare . After the sunrise trip return to your hotel and have breakfast. Your bus will be ready to return to Kathmandu.

03 NIGHTS/ 04 DAYS TREKKING IN AND AROUND POKHARA:

Day 01 : After breakfast drive to Fedi where you meet your trekking crew then start hiking to Dhampus. It might take you about two hours to reach Dhampus. On the way, you will come across many small & scattered villages.  You will have a magnificent view of the Pokhara valley and the Himalayan peaks as well.  Stop at Dhampus for lunch. After the lunch take a break to rest for some time then continue your trek to Pothana. Over night at a Lodge. Your Dinner will be served in the Lodge.

Day 02 : After breakfast, continue your journey towards Deorali. It will be a gradual climb for an hour to reach Deorali. This will be the highest point of this day. Have your lunch there. After the lunch start descending to Landrung through the dense forest of rhododendron flower. It will be more colorful during the Spring season. On the way you will pass by many small villages specially dwelt by then Gurung community. After about three hours steep descend you will reach at Landrung, also a Gurung Village. We spend the night at one of the lodge here. Yiour dinner will be served in the lodge where you sleep.

Day 03 : After breakfast, continue your descend for an hour upto Modi River. This is one of the snow fed rivers of this area. There is a bridge to cross the river then start ascending to the famous Gurung Village called Ghandrung. Perhaps this is the oldest village of this area. But these days it looks like a dead village. Because most of the young boys of the village are preferred to join the army. They are attracted even to join the foreign army like British and Indian Army. So normally, in this village we find ladies, children and the old people only. But the situation of the village is very beautiful. From the village itself you can see Himalayan peaks like Annapurna South, Himalchuli and Machhapuchare etc. Todays climb may take you from two to three hours. Over night at Lodge. Your dinner will be served in the lodge.

Day 04 : Weak up early morning to view the sunrise over the Himalayan peaks. Then  have your breakfast. After breakfast, your descend starts from Ghandrung to Nayapul. This trek will take about 3 to 4 hours. At Nayapul your vehicle will be ready to bring you back to Pokhara. Have your lunch there and in the afternoon return to Kathmandu.

2 NIGHTS / 3 DAYS TRIP TO CHITWAN

Chitwan District is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal, a landlocked country of South Asia. The district is in the western part of Narayani Zone, Bharatpur (the seventh largest city of Nepal) is its district headquarters. Bharatpur is the commercial and service centre of central south Nepal, it is the merger destination for higher education health and transportation of the region. It covers an area of 2,218km˛ and has a population (2001) of 472,048.
Narayangarh, on the bank of Narayani River, is the main town with numerous shopping zones where people from all over the district and even from neighbouring district come to shop.
Now there are about 40 Village Development Committees (each of which has nine wards or villages) and one sub-Metropolitan city-Bharatpur and a municipality Ratnanagar each of which has more than nine wards or urban areas.At the foot of the Himalayas, Chitwan is one of the few remaining undisturbed vestiges of the Terai region, which formerly extended over the foothills of Nepal.
Chitwan National Park is situated about 160 km southwest of Kathmandu. This national park is considered one of the best wild life reserves in the whole south Asia. This Chitwan National Park is still a treat for animal lover like Bengal tigers roam the region; one-horned rhinos can be seen charging through the underbrush, feeding and even courting. The park is now a popular destination for eco-tourists and includes canoeing, elephant rides, and guided jungle walks. The Chitwan National Park is home to at least 43 species of mammals, 450 species of birds, and 45 species of amphibians and reptiles. Elephants and Indian rhinos are the largest species found in the park, but a lot of other large herbivores are found in the park, gaur,sambar deer,indian, chital, hog deer, mainland serow, chausingha and wild boar. Three large predator species, tigers, leopards, dholes prey on them and carrion eaters like striped hyenas are also found. Sloth bears are among the main attractions of the Park. Smaller carivore species are golden jackal, yellow-throated marten, ratel, smooth coated otter, small Indian civet, large Indian civet, spotted linsang, common palm civet, binturong, small Indian mongoose, Indian grey mongoose, crab-eating mongose, leopard cat, marbled cat and fishing cat. Further mammal species found in the park are rhesus monkeys, hanuman langurs, Indian pangolin, northern palm squirrel, red giant flying squirrel, particoloured flying squirrel, Indian porcupine, hispid hare, Indian hare and ganges doplh.During the visit you may explore the jungle ON ELEPHANT BACK- seated high above the tall grass and undergrowth.
BY CANOE: in traditional local dug-outs on the Rapti Rivers (water level permitting)
ON FOOT: guided by our naturalists who will share with you their knowledge of the sights and sounds of the jungle, you can also visit the local villages of the ancient Danwar community.
Recommendations
In the month of March early mornings and evenings are cool and require a warm jackets and sweater. We recommand you to bring a sunhat and sunglasses and perhaps insect repellent for use out of doors in the evening. Bright colours (especially red, on safari, on elephant-back or on foot, you wear Neutral-coloured clothing. Comfortable walking shoes are also essential. You may wish to bring a swim suit for a dip in a swimming pool in our grounds.
